Mil Linhas started work four hands ago, in 2020, it was just Katia and Rafaella developing and crocheting the brand's first developments. Today we have a team of incredible artisans who, with dedication, talent and love for manual work, transform our ideas into true masterpieces.
The pieces are carefully thought out and selected for the unique skills of each artisan, who are experts in different techniques, from embroidery and crochet to macramé. They dominate ancestral traditions and with research and creativity we result in authentic and exclusive products.
When purchasing a Mil Linhas piece, you are supporting talented women and contributing to the preservation of artisanal traditions, as each product carries with it the history and effort dedicated by these incredible women.

She started her life as a crocheter at a very young age, since she was a child watching her aunt crochet, she didn't know how to finish the stitches. He started watching videos to learn more.
Then, at the age of 18, she went to work in a printing shop, and also worked as a secretary and receptionist. He never stopped crocheting, but one day while looking at Insta he saw an ad for Mil Linhas and became interested in being part of this team.
He talked to Rafaella and started working.
She has been part of the crochet team for 3 years.
He considers himself a person accomplished with what he does.
Happy, determined, friendly and responsible.
She loves working at Mil Linhas, she likes the way she is treated. says that Rafaella always listens to what she says, feels treated like a human being, which didn't happen in other jobs.
He says that he does everything with love and that customers receive this love that is passed on to the products they make.
He likes Mil Linhas’ social work.
“I want to thank Rafa and Katia for looking at everyone with great affection, because they see them as human beings and that is essential”
Raquel Pimentel
“I discovered Mil Linhas through my sister, professor Leonor Pimentel.
Mil Linhas began to grow in need of artisans. I was introduced to Katia and Rafa, who liked my work and I have been with them since then, since 2021. I work more with daycare and a little bit of the Tunisian technique.
I’m very homely, I like having friends over.”
Leonor Pimental
Leonor is Portuguese, she came to Brazil when she was a child and was our teacher when we decided to crochet for the first time.
“I fell in love with Katia and Rafa from the beginning, and in the second class Rafa told me “I'm going to open a crochet bag brand”
At Mil Linhas there is a very good atmosphere, a very pleasant coexistence.”
Andreia Assunção
“I'm Andreia, I met Mil Linhas through Mirian, my macramé teacher and since December 2020 I've been part of the team of artisans.
Although I am studying other techniques, macramé is where I find myself.
I learn a lot from the brand's creative team and the other artisans. Cinema, like macramé, is also one of my passions.”
Sonia
“I was a caregiver for Dona Joana, who is Rafaela’s grandmother and Dona Katia’s mother.
When they started Mil Linhas I had a little education, right.
Whenever there was something to be fixed, she asked me to fix it for her, I fixed it, you know? And it turned out that one day she taught me how to crochet bags.
I make the Summer bag and the Carioca bag. So it’s money that helps me, right? When I can do something it's always welcome.
And I don't have a special hobby, you know, so my life is from housework to housework, right?
Maybe my hobby is going to church on Sunday, but I don't know anything, so I don't go out like that.
I'm very happy, right? To be able to participate in this Mil Linhas family. It's something we do with love, right? Because crochet is something that you have to have a gift for, you have to have love to do it, right? And we finish each piece that you finish, you say like this:
“Wow, I did it, I did it. Look how beautiful, right? That stayed"
Each completion of a scholarship is an achievement, right!
And I’m here until now, I love you, see Kátia and Rafaela”
